The Writer’s Glove Makes List of Best “Desktop Hacks”

The Writer’s Glove Makes List of Best “Desktop Hacks”

What a nice surprise it was to see The Writer’s Glove show up on Laptops to Lullabies, where it was featured as one of five Weird-but-Awesome Desktop Hacks. The site is operated by Heather Laura Clarke, a newspaper journalist and blogger in Canada. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Clarke wrote:

They’re thin silk gloves that fit snugly and you can still type normally — even on touchscreens like my iPhone. They’re 20 bucks, U.S., and come with free shipping. I have the extra-small size and they’re fantastic.

The article is full of other terrific “hacks” helpful for anyone who puts in a lot of keyboard time. I especially like number five, seeing as how I drop my iPhone about as many times a day. Read the full article here.

New York Times, USA Today and Amazon Bestselling Author Enjoys The Writer’s Gloves

It’s a red letter day here at The Writer’s Glove. I’m always thrilled to hear from people who find these thin gloves for typing useful, but it’s not every day that feedback comes from someone who wrote the number one e-book in the world on Amazon. And hit the New York Times bestseller’s list. And USA Today. And appeared on Fox News to comment on the publishing industry. And was featured in a New York Times piece on writing in the 21st Century. And, and, and, and…

And his name is Vincent Zandri. Guess what? Sometimes he gets cold hands when he’s cranking out the hits on his keyboard. I was happy to send him a pair of The Writer’s Glove to keep his writing game up.

It turns out they were just the trick, as his Facebook post shows:

Best gloves for fiction writers with cold hands

Here’s more of his feedback from the threads beneath the pic:

http://amzn.to/2n9mZtxYou don’t have to be a bestselling novelist to use The Writer’s Glove. People working in law offices, information technology, data entry, research facilities and more have all found the benefits of keeping their hands warm while typing. You can, too, here.

P.S. Be sure to check out Zandri’s work. His novels are terrific. I recommend The Remains as a good jumping in spot for his extensive catalog of mystery/thriller reads.

"Writing and Wellness" Features The Writer’s Glove

Writing and Wellness, a site dedicated to health issues for writers (all that sitting and stressing can add up), recently featured my guest post, Introducing a New Tool to Warm Up Writers’ Hands.

It was a pleasure to tell the story of how these gloves came about. Being a writer means being an entrepreneur as well as an artist, and that means telling stories in different ways. One of them could be the story of how you write. It’s all about putting yourself out there, and it doesn’t come in any single form.

Check out the article here. Special thanks to Colleen at Writing and Wellness for accepting my piece. Be sure to read the other great articles on the site, too. If you define yourself by your writing, you deserve to be in the know about your health, too.
