The Economics of Customization vs. Scaling: Why I Don't Offer Colors Other than Black

The Writer's Glove is only available in black. This isn't because other colors wouldn't be nice to offer. It's because the unit economics of offering custom products don't make sense for a business of my size. In order to scale (i.e. make lots of something), you need to pick a design and stick to it. 

In other words, if enough people want a color other than black, it will make sense to make gloves in that color. Until then, you can have any color you like so long as it's black!
