June is Scleroderma Awareness Month

Scleroderma Awareness Month

Scleroderma is a rare chronic autoimmune disease that causes the body to produce too much collagen, leading to hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues. For many people, it also impacts circulation, joint mobility, pain levels, and sensitivity to cold — especially in the hands.

Many members of our community live with scleroderma, Raynaud’s, and other conditions that make everyday tasks like typing, working, or simply staying warm a challenge.

At The Writer’s Glove, we’re honored to support people navigating those challenges every day.

This month, we encourage you to:

  • Learn more about scleroderma
  • Listen to and share patient stories
  • Support organizations funding research and advocacy
  • Show compassion for chronic illnesses
