In the spirit of Thanksgiving, The Writer's Glove, LLC, is proud to support Elk River CAER, the local food shelf serving the community that also calls TWG home.

CAER, along with many other charitable organizations serving the disadvantaged, is offering a matching program for all cash donations. With CAER, every $1 donated equals $10 worth of purchasing power to keep shelves stocked. This is especially important during the cold winter months.

Please consider chipping in to your favorite charitable organization this holiday season. I enjoy being a part of The Writer's Glove, LLC, but there is no higher calling than service to others.

Giving back isn’t just something that The Writer’s Glove, LLC, does on a whim. It’s as much a part of this business as the stitching on the gloves.

Sometimes, that means responding to neighbors in need following a disaster, as with the recent hurricanes in the southeast United States, Puerto Rico and beyond. Other times, it’s because an organizer reached out directly, as with this silent auction to benefit service dog programs.

While I certainly have my pet causes (I’m a kidney transplant recipient), I also enjoy opening up the floor to customers to put forward their suggestions. That’s a little different from how many companies operate, but when you’re the president of an LLC, you get you make those decisions.

Over on Twitter (where I’m sure you’re already following @writersglove - hint, hint), I threw the question of where to chip in next out to followers. I received a great suggestion from Basia Wolf.
