Answering Your Questions About Version 3 of The Writer's Glove
I'm happy to report the first users of V3 of The Writer's Glove are loving the improvements. The new version is, as one customer put it, "exactly what I've been waiting for since the first version."
That's terrific to hear, especially since the first version debuted in 2017 (if you don't count version zero--the "Frankenstein glove"). Sorry to keep you waiting!
The questions I'm getting now are less about the gloves themselves and more about the logistics of purchasing V3. This is the first time both V2 and V3 are available side by side, after all.
Is V3 Sold on Amazon, Walmart.com, SHEIN, etc.?
No.
V3 is only sold here at TheWritersGlove.com and on The Grommet. The gloves sold elsewhere are all V2.
Why? In part to keep it simple, and in part because of the way product updates work on those marketplaces.
The Grommet is a great partner who worked hard to get the gloves out there, too. (Psst...they've got an exclusive deal on the V3 gloves, too.)
Can I Exchange a V2 for a V3, and Vice Versa?
Yes, within the 14-day return window.
The way this works depends on where you made the purchase, but you'll be credited the difference one way or the other.
Do You Offer V3 in Silk?
No.
Just like with V3, silk won't hold up to the way the innovative fingertips are sewn.
V1 gloves were made with silk. While you won't find them for sale online, I do have some XS and XL sizes left. Get in touch if you'd like a pair. We'll work something out.
Do You Offer V3 in Colors Other Than Black?
No.
Offering other colors is also the same as offering an entirely different product. To offer three colors instead of one, for example, you're basically manufacturing three separate products. Unless you're working with massive orders (I'm not), the cost per unit goes up. To put it another way, I'd need to increase the price of black gloves roughly 10-15% just to produce gloves of one other color.
Is Shipping Still Free with V3?
Yes.
U.S. and international shipping is always free when ordered through thewritersglove.com.
Can I Trial the V3 Gloves for Two Weeks Before I Decide to Pay?
No.
The 14-day, risk-free window is for returns only, not for a no-cost trial period. Quite frankly, this no-cost approach would be ripe for abuse.
Will You Accept Crypto as Payment?
I'd never say never. Right now, I'm sticking to traditional money.
Will You Sponsor My Esports Team/Charity/Business?
Maybe.
Send me details through the Contact form.
Do The Gloves Work for [Hobby], Too?
Give them a shot and let me know! Remember, you have two weeks to return them if they don't work out.
Thanks, everyone!
